Choking on Snowflakes

Where are my skis? (I'm actually standing in a sheltered spot with less snow.)

cough...weeze...hack...

I kept choking on snowflakes. I'd ski a few yards, suck in a huge flake, and choke.

Man, was it awesome!

It's snowing "wicked hahd, guy!" Good stuff. Chris, our new man in the machines, was out rolling and was having trouble keeping up with it. Howie is out snowshoeing the Aqueduct Loop right now, and may never come back. There are moose tracks all along Fuzzbottom Brake. In fact, Susan almost skied into a moose this morning. Isn't this place great?!?!? All this snow sure helps, too.

Speaking of all this snow, the snowshoeing this weekend will be incredible. Get here first to get fresh tracks. Or, better yet, get here second so you don't have to break trail! Oh yeah, the skiing will be pretty good, too.

The snowshoeing WAS amazing! Picture perfect with loads of fresh snow hanging on all the softwoods, hardly a sound except an occasional chickadee. Really fun to have to go out to "work" clearing a couple of blowdowns that were reported on the inner 2-4 Loop, or as my wife likes to refer to it - "Path of the Sage" - fodder for another blog. So the trees are taken care of and it's safe for snowshoers.

Wow!! Thanks for clearing the snowshoe trail, Howie. I'll be up soon to snowshoe with Ben. We love the peace and quiet on the Aquaduct Loop. So much snow. . .so different from last year. Happy Holidays, everyone!
