...especially this year...
I just finished with a short 30 minute round of classic skiing, my first of the season. Boy, did that feel great! There's something about a well formed classic track laid down by a skilled groomer that I just love. I went back out to get the photo that you see here beacause I know there are others waiting to ski their first tracks of the season and they want to see proof. A lot of you have been out skate skiing here as we've struggled to make snow in less than ideal conditions and now we finally have enough depth to set tracks. We're still skiing on the Geepers Loop, but you know what - it's a lot better than sitting on the couch watching football!

Howie,
The tracks look wonderful! I wish I could have gotten out on them yesterday, but I did have fun skiing on my junky old skis around the Bowdoin fields yesterday morning for a 1/2 hour or so. There were tons of classic tracks and a fair number of people out enjoying the snow! It was so exciting to finally be on my classic skis! I'm looking forward to getting out on the tracks up at Great Glen soon :-) -Sparkplug
Crazy Moose Draw was named when John Frado, the trail designer, had a very close encounter with a very mad moose.
