Tom Stark and Alice Nelson Win Great Glen Trails Nordic Sprint Race
Thanks to snowmaking Great Glen Trails hosts first race of the season in New England

Pinkham Notch, NH—Tom Stark of Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire and Alice Nelson of Hanover, New Hampshire were the men’s and women’s winners of first place and a pair of Atomic skis at the Great Glen Trails Sprint Race.

Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center hosted this race following the cancellation of other races originally scheduled this weekend in Vermont. The race was held on a .5 km loop made up of entirely machine made snow. More than 50 skiers from nearly 30 cities and towns from across New England participated, including college racers from the University of New Hampshire, Bates College, Middlebury College, Bowdoin College, Colby College and high school racers from Gould Academy, Vermont Academy, Putney Ski Club, Gunstock Nordic Association, Kennett High School and Gorham High School.
