FINAL POINTS

This year, the Nordic Meister Series is in its thirteenth season as the largest weekly cross country citizen race series in the United States. For eight weeks, skiers of all abilities challenge themselves on a 5km course with prizes awarded in age categories and through a raffle. With an adjustment system, all ages can compete on a level playing field.

The series runs every Tuesday, except February 19 for eight weeks starting January 8, 2008 through March 4, 2008. Participants race against the clock on our 5km Nordic Meister course in the Skate and/or Classic category. The series consists of eight weeks of timed runs with the six best times selected for series-end standings. The timing desk is open and available between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:45 pm. All participants must check in with the starters prior to starting timed runs and all runs must be completed by 4:00 pm. Results are posted on the website and published in the Conway Daily Sun each week.

An awards party will be held on March 15 at the end of the series with the top three skiers in each class awarded trophies, while all participants completing six out of eight weeks are entered into a prize raffle.

New for 2008: Untimed Category. It's all the fun with none of the racing. Complete the six out of eight weeks, and you still qualify for the prize raffle. So grab some friends, and get out there!
