Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center hosts New Hampshire State Championship Meet

Pinkham Notch, NH—On Wednesday, February 14, 2007, Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center will host the Division Four New Hampshire State Cross Country Ski Championships.

Boys and girls from eight high schools will compete in 5 kilometer races in both skate and classic techniques. The eight school participating are Derryfield, Gorham, Hopkinton, Inter-Lakes, Moultonborough, Profile, Saint Bani and Sunapee.

In the girls’ races, Jenny Helm of Hopkinton has been consistently leading the pack this season with Leah Hart of Inter-Lakes and Sarah Brockett of Gorham close behind. On the boys’ side, Chris Brockett of Gorham and Brian Row of Hopkinton have been trading victories throughout the year.
