Tom Gosselin of Lewiston, Maine won two of the three stages of Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center’s Porky Gulch Classic to take home the title of Best All-Around Cyclist in New England. Drawing 36 competitors this year, including two father-son duos, the two-day, three-stage Porky Gulch Classic is the most unique and challenging cycling event in New England.
Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center hosts the Porky Gulch Classic on Saturday and Sunday, November 4 and 5, 2006. Hosted in cooperation with the Mt. Washington Auto Road and Story Land, the Porky Gulch Classic is two-day, three-stage race that features a hillclimb, a criterium and a cyclocross. The combination of these disciplines makes the Porky Gulch Classic the ultimate test of cycling ability in New England.

Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center hosts the first annual, There’s A Black Fly In My Eye 15k Trail Running Race and Relay event on Sunday, June 25th. The race is comprised of both individual runners and relay teams made up of two to three people running the diverse and challenging terrain of the three-loop course.
The wildflowers and birding at Great Glen Trails are phenomenal.
