Two of our paddling guides, Nate and Sue, paddled a 23 mile section of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) along the Connecticut River yesterday. Their goals- scout the river and locate campsites for a four day Northern Forest Canoe Trail Explorers Youth Program being offered through Great Glen Trails in August. The Northern Forest Canoe Trail Youth Program is a non profit pilot program for youth ages 10-14 to promote outdoor educational experiences, healthy lifestyles and encourage leadership and teamwork skills.
Nate and Sue encountered geese, and an osprey in its nest.
Looks like they had a great day on the water!
