Bog bridges along the trail

Vacation is awesome!

D and I returned from our vacation today. I just wanted to add a quick update. It was awesome. We hiked for 8 days on the Appalachian Trail/Long Trail in Vermont. We covered 89.9 miles, saw some amazing places and met some even more amazing people. Of course, as a friend of ours told us on a particularly hot and muggy day on the Appalachian Trail in 2005: "It's not all rainbows and candy." We didn't shower for a week, I lost 5 pounds and the blisters are still hanging on. It was a great, great trip. More to come...

P.S. I just hope my body still remembers how to run, so I can go in the Trail Running Series on Thursday.
