It's wild up here

Some interesting sights right here at the Glen
Normally folks come here to enjoy the sights and weather at the summit of the mountain but lately we've been enjoying some good sights right here at the base. Twice in the last week we've had to literally herd moose across the property and across busy Rt 16 so they could continue their wandering unaided by the following paparazzi. Then there's the black bear who has been frequenting the Glen in search of morsels while waiting for the berry crops to ripen. He's seems to be around 3 years old, a bit too tame for comfort and not at all afraid of people, so we've been chasing him away at every opportunity so he'll search out easier feeding grounds. Then there are the two cubs who've been entertaining our guests along the bottom mile of the Auto Road. Aside from the animal life, this summer's intense weather has made for some great thunderstorm and cloud activity as viewed from the base. It's always quite different and wonderful here at the Glen.

No 2 days are ever the same at Mount Washington. It a shame to come here with a specific mindset about what you want to see or expect to see. The MT will give you what she has on any given day, and challenge YOU to find your own personal nugget in the experience.
Being aware, curious, and open to new experience is all one needs to be wowed on the journey to the sky.
