A little hail to get things cooled off

If you don't like the weather...

Today, August 30 at 3:00 Eli was out on course setting up for the start of the Montrail Fall Trail Running Series.  It was a hot, humid afternoon and more than once I was hoping that the predicted rain would come to cool things off before I went out for my run.  Not to worry.  This being Pinkham Notch, we got the summer version of the famed Pinkham Notch Effect in the form of heavy rain and hail just as the series was about to open.  Rumor has it that Eli took shelter in the cabin at Great Angel while the worst of the hail passed by.  The temperature has dropped quite a bit, the hail has let up and it seems that this fast moving front will be cleared soon.  I'm ready to run.

Hi Howie, I haven't a comment but an irrelevant question. Do you know how I can get in touch with Dennis Gallagher? We were friend a century or two ago and I would love to find him and Vicky. Thanks so much for your time. Lauri fielding@fieldinggallery.com
