Women's Winter Escape

January 18 & 19, 2020

Women’s Winter Escape at Great Glen is a unique chance to learn and take part in a variety of activities with other women in small groups, providing for personalized attention from expert instructors.

    •    For women only
    •    Small groups with individualized attention
    •    Skate skiing clinics
    •    Classic cross-country skiing clinics
    •    Downhill skills clinics
    •    Snowshoe tours led by a naturalist
    •    Yoga
    •    Lunch
    •    Sip & shop
    •    And more!

The activities include a variety of ski clinics for classic and skate techniques, beginner through advanced, snowshoeing led by a naturalist, yoga; snow tubing, pre- and post-activity stretching, lunch, and an après ski wine and cheesegathering with discounted shopping in the Great Glen Outfitter Shop. Women’s Winter Escape is limited to twenty participants, ensuring a low instructor to student ratio for maximum learning.

All women will make their clinic selections at Saturday morning check-in on January 18. Participant numbers are limited in each clinic, to assure personalized attention and instruction during clinics.

The following day, Sunday, January 19, Great Glen hosts an equipment demo, with ski and snowshoe products from Atomic, Fischer, Rossignol, Salomon, Swix and Tubbs available to take out and test on the trails. Participants in Saturday’s Women’s Winter Escape will receive their free trail pass for Sunday, enabling them access to the equipment demo with no extra charge.

The cost for Women’s Winter Escape is TBD.

This includes: On Saturday; trail pass, all clinics, ski and snowshoe rentals, a light continental breakfast, lunch, après-activity refreshments, shopping discount, and commemorative SKIDA headwear. On Sunday; trail pass, access to all demo equipment from the above visiting companies.
